Description:

The project was to create an innovative board game that incorporated digital media. Intertwine strategic play with moral dilemmas. The story takes place in a hospital involved in organ trafficking and players play as doctors. Engage players with a complex story that challenges their moral compass and decision-making skills.

Inspiration

About 300,000 people need organ transplants each year in China, but just over 20,000 transplants were performed in 2018. Organ donation rates are low and there is a greater shortage of organs available for legal transplantation. When supply and demand are out of whack, there's a black market. Many media have also reported on the black market for organs, in which donors, recipients, intermediaries, hospitals, and doctors all work in perfect harmony. Using different means to transplant organs to unknown buyers, in order to make huge profits. And whether it is from a living person or from a dead body to extract organs, it requires the involvement of doctors. Doctors have long been an integral part of the organ trade.

Prototype

The player takes on the role of a doctor, competing for the position of leader, and reputation values are measured.

Each player can control himself +2 assistants for a total of 3. Each round the three people can be controlled separately.

Action: clinical reception, medication, practice, surgery.
Medicine collection and practice can obtain resources for surgery for different diseases

Source of reputation: Saving patients or donations (money is earned for saving patients or selling organs).

The patient is brought in, and the player can choose to receive the patient and place the patient in the appropriate bed.

In the beginning, organ trafficking was illegal. Therefore, players who do not participate in the surgery can speculate on the players who choose traffic through reporting during the unfinished time of the surgery. Players who report successful traffic selection receive penalties. The intermediate stage has the opportunity to be reversed into a legal situation by the number of people treated.

Serious patients need surgery to recover. It takes two doctors to open the operation.

Doctors may choose to treat patients or sell their organs during surgery. The specific value is tentative. Refer to the choice of Prisoner's Dilemma.
